Weekly meeting

> Team management

The Weekly Meeting is an operational meeting that helps the team to start the week off on the right foot. It’s a meeting for sharing team information, not a status review for the manager. It enables everyone to have the right level of information and to focus on the actions to be carried out. This meeting must be prepared beforehand by everyone to ensure that it is effective, pertinent and (ideally) not longer than 30 minutes.

Suggestions and variations

You can use other formats for your icebreaker activities (try our inspirations) but we do not recommend varying the formats from month to month. Consistency will establish a routine. If you feel a bit bored, plan a new format every quarter or half year.

If you are the team manager, to avoid a "report" effect, try letting someone else act as facilitator. You can rotate the role every month, for example. This will allow team members to address the team and not give an employee activity report to you, the manager.
